Design Environmental was born out of the need to introduce new technology to replace outdated test chamber designs. Our innovative approach to this problem and the investment in research has created a unique range of climatic systems.

Design Environmental forms part of the Schunk Environmental Group, Europe's largest manufacturer of environmental test equipment. As a member of the group, Design Environmental customers benefit from many enhancements, including a wider choice of services and better resources to meet customer needs and expectations. Overseas customers benefit from group local service support centres and service agencies throughout the world.

Design Environmental Ltd and Weiss Gallenkamp Ltd are associated companies based in the UK. They share the same parent company Weiss Umwelttechnik GmbH, and both companies are able to offer the complete range of temperature & climatic test chambers from the Weiss group including the brands of Weiss Technik, Votsch & Design Environmental.

This enables us to offer the widest range of environmental test products of any manufacturer in our sector and also enables us to offer an efficient aftersales service.

We also have a division with in the UK specialising in Plant Growth Chambers & Rooms under the Fitotron brand, and Pharmaceutical Stability Chambers, under the Pharmasafe brand.
