In some cases it may not be possible to put the test item into a conventional
chamber. It could be too big or only part of a larger structure that
cannot be dismantled.
For these occasions the RACS (Remote Air Conditioning Systems) can
be used to provide conditioned air to a temporary insulated enclosure
built around the test item. RACS units can be compressor-cooled, liquid
gas-cooled or a combination of both.
